Welcome to Sing It! Society

We are currently only meeting online [correct as of 4/10/20]. This may change in the future, but it does mean our society is running a little different to previous years. If you have any questions, contact the right person (you can find details below).

We have two main teams running the society: committee and music team. Both teams meet regularly to discuss, plan and organise everything about the society and drive our vision and make things happen for our members. Committee meetings are open to ALL members. If you would like to attend a meeting, raise a point for discussion or get involved with the teams please contact the chair.

Rehearsals

From 7th October 2020 onwards, sing it! meet every Wednesday at 7pm on Zoom.
Get in contact with us if you have not received the Zoom link
Our society is open to EVERYONE so you don't need to have any musical experience or ability. There's no auditions and you will always be singing in a group.

All rehearsals start with a physical and vocal warmup led by the music team. We start learning any new songs in the rehearsals so there's no need to do any learning at home unless you want to. To learn the songs, we provide online sheet music - there is no pressure to be able to read the notes, many members just read the lyrics - and also teach tracks you can listen to for each part.

We sing most songs in mixed, 4-part harmony so we have sectionals during rehearsals where your section leader will teach your specific part. No worries if you don't know what voice part you are, we are happy to help you!

We are trying to transfer this rehearsal experience over to Zoom as best we can, so you can still get the most out of sing it!
